Under the cooperation project, Xiaoju Auto Solutions will offer various solutions, such as car rental and rent-to-buy services, in a bid to make consumers own a car in flexible ways. The EU5 and the EU7, two all-electric models of BEIJING that have been given access to the DiDi-owned platform from the beginning of July, are also available to these solutions.
According to a local media outlet, the cooperation between BEIJING and Xiaoju Auto Solutions will allow a user to rent a car first, and to decide whether to buy it or rent a new car after 12-month usage. It does provide those potential car buyers with a more flexible and cheaper solution to own a car, so that consumers will no longer be bothered by one-off heavy expense or sinking values of used-cars.

Xiaoju Auto Solutions has teamed up with automakers and car rental service providers to afford one-stop car using solutions that meet various consumers' demands. It not only launches long-term car rental services, but also rolls out operations of test drive and test riding in Hangzhou by partnering with OEMs.
Meanwhile, the DiDi-backed platform opens up the big data, products, technologies and channels about car sharing business and the experience of fleet operation to help service providers improve their operational efficiency and lower operational costs, so as to reduce the cost for a user to own a car.
In March, BEIJING launched a particular project dubbed “Pengyi” (meaning “wings of roc” in Chinese) under which the automaker plans to build a transaction platform of the right to use cars, intending to facilitate private car owners in buying cars and offer them new car using experience through rent-as-you-go and rent-to-own models.
